Catching up on sleep.  My poor baby has been so sick, a stomach bug…hopefully she will be better soon, she does seem to be on the mend.

The way my iphone saw the river during my morning run…this picture turned out differently than it really looked outside but I like it anyway.

The ice slide was a leftover from the Winter Festival in the park on the weekend before we got there, and was just as much fun, maybe even more so because there were no crowds or lineups.

Banana on the run!  Really enjoying my early morning runs with one of my wonderful neighborhood friends, found this grinning up at me from the frozen alley.  (full disclosure – taken on Feb 22 with my iphone)

…waiting on the University campus for my daughter to finish her guitar lesson, I found some evidence of spring beginning…

My two oldest kids run a pet/house sitting business…it works out well most of the time for a lot of reasons…they will be looking after three cockatoos, 2 parrots and 2 dogs for 8 days in March.  Today was the first meeting with my bird crazy daughter, all went well until one of the birds suddenly lashed out and took a bite of my daughter’s knuckle, drawing blood and giving quite the bruise too.

I wouldn’t have like the bird after that, but my kid still does.  She said he is just like a little kid and you can’t get mad at them.

She is pretty impressive.

A day which was busyish but not so much so that I couldn’t have gone out with my camera and played for a while before doing errands – but the errands came first and the needles of hoar frost melted by the time I was back home.  Happily I was carrying my Canon G9 with me and caught this shot just outside the library.
